6mm to 5cm thick, in seams up to 30 x 30 cm. Spar "fibers" are vertical in the shorter seam dimension.
Translucent to near transparent, with strong "moon/catseye" effect, this lovely material is generally white, with occasional amber and peach colored material available.
Some material will cut single line catseyes, and other will display multiple "fish scale" plates, much like harlequin pattern in opal.
We have satin spar in solid carving & cutting material, ready cut or sliced to your specifications upon request.

Magnificent rock collection for sale, collected over a lifetime (45 years) mostly in the Gascoyne/Pilbra area of Western Australia. It is regarded as one of the biggest in Western Australia, if not the biggest. Over 10,000 (approx) pieces most are cut, sliced, and polished. The primary collection is large thick slices of Peanut wood, agates, silicified palms, petrified wood, fossils, tiger-eye, chrysoprase, geodes, multi coloured banded irons, prehnites, stromatalites, etc. etc. There are cut opals, opal rough, gemstones, crystals, mineral specimens (local and imported), tumbled gemstones, shells, fossils, gemstone rough, and tumbling material. The shed that stores all this inventory is 80'x20', there are three rows of display shelves the full length of shed, and they are all full of rocks. Genuine sale .
